~* 30 Weeks *~

30 weeks
Baby H is getting bigger! He weighs about 3 pounds (BabyCenter compared his size to a head of cabbage) and is head down! Dr. Hamburger felt my stomach yesterday for my 30 week checkup because I was curious what position he was in. Of course he can still flip around but room is getting scarce in there :) I've been feeling kicking in my ribs and can feel his hiccups quite often. I can't believe he will be here in less than 3 months! Soon I will be a mommy and Rob will be a daddy :) We won't just hold the titles of 'Aunt T and Uncle Robby' anymore. Hollie and Gavin are staying with us this weekend so I'm sure we'll get lots of movies in and some shopping, and maybe even bowling if they are open. I wish we could see them more often, they grow up so fast! I swear Hollie has grown a foot and is catching up with me and Gavin reminds me so much of Wes. I hope they are excited to have their first cousin! I know I will cry when they hold Baby H for the first time. :) Today I did some online shopping and found crib bedding and some cute outfits for friends that are also having babies.

~* 29 Weeks *~

This week's developments: Baby Heiser now weighs about 2.5 pounds and is about the size of a butternut squash. He is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for that developing brain (which we know he will be smart) :) BabyCenter says I will need plenty of protein, Vitamin C, folic acid, and iron. Baby Heiser is also soaking up calcium so I need to drink lots of milk to grow his strong bones. I think I also felt Baby Heiser's hiccups for the first time today! They were like little tiny *thuds*. It was so exciting!

We have decided on a full name. Tara says she is making him the letters to go above his crib. And, I bought a custom baby book this week so that is taken care of. My co-worker has offered us her crib because her son just moved to a toddler bed, but we are going to use Kasey and Ryan's bassinett at the beginning while he is still little. Last weekend we rearranged the apartment a bit so we can fit a crib in our bedroom. We are still house hunting and a lot more houses are becoming available so hopefully we find something we love!

My next Doctor's appointment is Thursday, January 26. I am starting to put on more weight and I notice my belly sticking out a lot more too (apparently other people have too because I get a lot of comments that I am showing more). I can't wait until this bundle of joy arrives! I keep having dreams about holding him in my arms. 77 days to go!!

~* 28 Weeks - Third Trimester! *~

28 Weeks
The third and final trimester has arrived!! I am so excited to be on the last lap of the pregnancy but I know in a way I will miss being pregnant. The jitters have also set in though. Naturally I am just worried the delivery will be a long drawn out process but am praying it won't, or that there will be complications. So I could really use your prayers from here on out for a quick delivery and a healthy baby boy!! :)

Thursday was my Doctors appointment and she said I will be going every 2 weeks for a checkup now. The baby will hopefully move into position soon, if he hasn't already, and stay that way until he's ready to come out. Last week I thought I felt him flip or do a somersault so maybe he is already there. He still kicks me like crazy and pretty much prevents me from bending over at all now. My back goes in and out but doesn't bother me much until the weekend when I am actually up and moving more. One crazy thing I've been craving this whole pregnancy is: FISH. Most of you know I have never been much of a fish eater. But now I want to eat it all the time. I just have to stay away from certain types that contain mercury... which I have never found any of those kinds around here so all is good. Tilapia, cod, etc... but no salmon. YUCK. :) And we make more frequent trips through the McDonald's drive-through so I can get a snack size M&M & Oreo McFlurry :) Another thing I find odd is, which don't get me wrong I am an emotional roller coaster these days, but my fits of laughter have gone into the crazy stage. Any little old thing makes me laugh until I almost pee my pants. No kidding there. And of course I have mostly Robby to thank for these giggle fests. We went out to eat at Magic Wok last night for Chinese and he was trying to read his fortune cookie like a first grader... we were laughing so hard we had to leave. We are both sick with colds/sinus infection so that made for some unpleasant hacking episodes outside too. Which I'm sure you just loved to know that. Anyway they say laughter is the best medicine but I will try to tone it down a bit so it doesn't put me into labor. :)

Robby completed his first FULL week of student teaching with the 1st graders at Lewis & Clark. He has some great stories to tell me on the ride home. Thursday we had some nasty weather/wind, so the kids stayed inside for recess and he was on duty. The boys were being loud and obnoxious, so he told me he went over and played Barbies with the little girls. No wonder those kids love him... you know me and my Barbies when I was little, if I would have had a tall handsome guy like Rob come over and play with me it would have melted my heart. (Wes you count :) Then he said they got out the playdough and they were making him cookies. "Mr. Heiser... what kind of cookie do you want??? Lemon?" Awww the fun he will have as a Dad and teacher both. Hopefully he can get healed up from his cough and sinus congestion this weekend and be ready for the big Packer playoff game Sunday. The Heiser's will be coming over for some grub and football. :)

I'll try and update this more often now that the due date is getting closer! Hopefully our little Easter bunny is right on time :) Have a great and relaxing weekend!!!!

~* 27 Weeks *~

27 weeks
Only 90 days before Baby Heiser arrives! The time is going so fast. He is staying very active in my tummy and is enjoying this unseasonable weather! Christmas proved to be a peek into how spoiled he is going to be. 5 Packer onesies & bib, more clothes, a Harley Davidson rocking "motorcycle", Harley bibs and beanie, and high chair! We spent Christmas Eve with the Heisers in Beemer and Austin kept us entertained in church. He couldn't wait to get back to open all the gifts Santa left him!

Christmas Day we headed to Arcadia to have Christmas at Mom & Dad's where Dad surprised me with my new Explorer sitting in the shop. The dealer allowed him to drive it off the lot (me not knowing it was already ON his lot) and bring it home so I could have it a few days early. That was a great Christmas present! I'm still trying to get familiar with the SYNC system but I absolutely love it! I'm sure we will put some miles on it driving back and forth to work. As you can probably tell from the picture Rob took yesterday I am a bit sleepy. We head out the door for work at 6:30 now because the kids arrive at school at 7:45. Robby's first day student teaching at Lewis & Clark Elementary in South Sioux was Wednesday. The first day he had a workshop where he met with the teachers and learned about the school and the kids arrived Thursday. They already love him and are giving him hugs. 1st graders will be a challenge, but will still put his skills to work. He will begin teaching soon and they are putting him on a fast track to complete his teaching so that come April he won't be so busy and can focus on the baby. They only allow him to miss 4 days but shortly after the baby is born he will graduate. His class consists of around 20 students and most of them are Hispanic. He is already using Spanish to teach them colors and numbers.

I am having some lower back trouble but after visiting the chiropractor I feel much better. I am finding it more and more difficult to get up off the couch and put on socks and shoes. I think this is only the start to more body aches I will have. Otherwise the pregnancy is going well and I am excited for the 3rd trimester next week!
